Famous television presenter, BBC personality of the Year, and due to be married to a leading gynaecologist later that year, Jill Dando seemed to have everything when she arrived home at 29 Gowan Avenue in Fulham late on the morning of 26th April 1999. In fact she had only a few minutes to live. She was shot dead on her doorstep - a man called Barry George was arrested for the crime and found guilty - but the evidence against him proved faulty, and he was released following his third appeal. No-one else has ever been charged, although theories abound in the matter. Who killed Jill Dando - and can we ever know? It seems unlikely anyone will ever be brought to justice for the crime...
