NEW YEAR CAKE Tutorial: How to Make Fondant & Isomalt Champagne Bottles, Sugar Sail Topper, & Piping

I am so excited to share how to make the cutest little bottles of champagne (or sparkling juice)! I created a large fondant topper as well as some mini bottles of isomalt. RECIPES for my cake, buttercream frosting, and fondant can be found on my website: http://www.customcakesandcupcakes.com A fun tip I love to share about creating gold or silver buttercream: start with a gray buttercream color by adding just a small amount of ‪@chefmaster‬ coal black or black diamond gel color, then frost your cake in this color. Next, I spray ‪@wilton‬ silver edible shimmer spray all over this. You only need a very light spray of the shimmer, as the gray color already gets your eyes and brain thinking of silver. If you'd like to achieve a gold buttercream in this manner, start with a golden brown/yellow color.
