Recycling fabric scraps or using coupons to sew your skirt allows you to save and take advantage of resources already produced. At the market St Pierre in Paris for example, you can find coupons (= more or less 1Mx1M) for between 1€ and 5€ ( https://www.les-coupons-de-saint-pier... ). For me it was a scrap of linen fabric!
