A SHORT JOURNEY COMPILATION...A ROUTE LESS EXPLORED SILIGURI JN. TO ALUABARI ROAD JN. onboard 15464 SGUJ - BLGT INTERCITY EXPRESS led by MALDA ALCO WDM3D #11473 The main reason to ride this train on this particular route is to cover this route( SGUJ-BORA-TKG-AUB) which is still unelectrified till date but sooner it will be also electrified. And also this train only gets MLDT Alco now a days. Sooner it will be also gone. Anyways this route has total 10 stations in between Siliguri Jn. & Aluabari Rd Jn. which is Matigara, Bagdogra, Naksalbari, Batasi, Adhikari, Galgalia, Piprithan, Thakurganj, Taiabpur, Pothia. Only Bagdogra, Naksalbari, Adhikari, Thakurganj has loop lines & through pass line rest are the stations are only halt stations. Only crossing I got in this route while traveling was 15719 KIR-SGUJ INTERCITY Exp at Thakurganj. My train's stoppages are Bagdogra, Naksalbari & Thakurganj between SGUJ & AUB This route has lots of curves & rivers & also tea gardens. Electrification works on this route are on progress at fast pace soon the route will be electrified. This route was MG previously upto 2008 then Railways suspended trains on this route and started guage conversion work. In 2011 the gauge conversion work completed by Railways after that again Railways resumed the train services. So watch the video till end & enjoy the ride with MLDT Alco.
