The Nat King Cole Trio "A Portrait of Jennie"
"A Portrait of Jennie" written by J. Russell Robinson and Gordon Burdge and recorded on Jan. 14, 1949 by The Nat King Cole Trio with orchestra conducted by Carlyle Hall for Capitol Records is the title song from the remarkable 1948 film, "A Portrait of Jennie," starring Jennifer Jones and Joseph Cotton. First released as a 78RPM single, it was later included on the 10 inch Capitol LP, Unforgetable, released in 1953 and currently available on CD and can also be found on the 4 CD box set, Cool Cole, The King Cole Trio Story, on the Proper label. Though it became a hit for Nat King Cole, the song is never actually heard in the film. The movie itself is a must see. I do not own the right to the song, audio, or images contained in this video. The sound recording is administered by EMI. No copyright infringement is intended. This purpose of this upload is for viewer enjoyment and education not for monetary gain.
