Exploring Colon: Panama's Most Decrepit City 馃嚨馃嚘

Colon, Panama's second biggest city, was once a thriving city on the banks of the Panama Canal. Over the past few decades though, the city's has decayed because of a loss of jobs, bad politics, corruption, and now had a reputation of being Panama's most dangerous city. Many afro-Panamanians came to Colon a long time ago to help build the Panama Canal. Because of that, the city has a different feel than the rest of Panama. The city is also right on the bank of the Atlantic Ocean, giving the food culture a Caribbean twist: habanero spices, coconuts, and lots of good seafood.
