Currently, pursing her Master of Arts in Strategic Communication and Public Relations at Sacred Heart University, Anna also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the same institution. Anna takes us through her impressive journey, from interning at the Connecticut General Assembly’s Senate Democratic Office, where she supported the public health and appropriations committees, to working as a Coordinated Campaign Fellow with Connecticut Democrats, mobilizing student and youth voters across the state. She shares what it was like to intern at the U.S House of Representatives District Office in Bridgeport, managing constituent services and contributing to policy research and outreach communications. Now, as a Communications and Development Intern at The Child and Family Guidance Center, she is applying her strategic communications skills to donor engagement, press releases, and social media, bringing everything full circle. Throughout this conversation, Anna reflects on what ties all these experiences together, the power of intentional, precise, and people-centered communication. She shares what it really means to bridge policy and people, what strategic communication looks like beyond the classroom, and what advice she has for students looking to build careers in law, politics, or public service.
