Navantia UK unveils LASV75 autonomous vessel design

Coverage of the new LASV75 large USV design unveiled by Navantia UK during Combined Naval Event 2026. Simon Jones, Design and Product Development Director at Navantia UK introduces the Large Autonomous Surface Vessel to us. ===================== Designed in the UK, Navantia proposes the LASV75 as a key component of the hybrid navy – which combines traditional crewed warships with crewless escorts and autonomous technologies such as drones. Navantia UK's design will provide persistent capability due to its size, range and speed characteristics, with adaptability for different missions provided by smart modularity. The vessel is designed from the keel up to be uncrewed providing high levels of availability. The LASV75 can be constructed at pace and scale with a cost significantly lower than crewed vessels. Its modular hull allows for different configurations – sensing, operational mode or a combination of both. ===================== For new videos every week, subscribe here! http://www.youtube.com/c/NavalNews?su...
