【Rose Flower Piping / 玫瑰花唧花】   I remember when I first started piping, it was 2010! I had accepted an order (unwillingly) to make a rose cake! I had no idea how to pipe a rose and I had three days to learn! With limited resources available to learn in Hong Kong, I turned to Youtube for help! Youtube then didn’t have many videos on flower piping, until I saw a video from Wilton! I learned my very first from a wilton video and I called my rose the “Wilton Rose”. It’s a very symmetrical rose that’t not too difficult to make. I practiced with pastry topping for hours a day! And the cake turned out ok! Phew!! I will demonstrate how I pipe this simple, 4-layered, symmetrical rose. Roses, I think is the “mother of all flowers," is essential for developing hand-eye coordination and muscle memory. It is advisable to continue practicing this flower design before attempting more complex arrangements. Hope you’ll enjoy it!!
