By utilizing the specular G-buffer, we can do all sort of crazy things like making materials shine intensely when exposed to light, create sparkles for water/sand/snow, and of course, shiny metallic objects! This update can really allow you more flexibility when it comes to cel-shaded and stylized scenes (did someone say their game is Ghibli/BOTW inspired??
