MIGUEL GILA - November 7, 1976 - B/W - 34 minutes Miguel Gila (1919-2001). Known primarily as a comedian ("humor is a kind of cerebral scam, in which you have to surprise"), he reveals his many facets: cartoonist at La Codorniz, "my calling card for getting into the theater," playwright ("The Pirueta" is the most important one"), and actor ("I think I've matured a lot as an actor"). He describes the difficult times in his life, which he de-dramatized through his famous monologues. He speaks about his long years in Argentina. In the 1976 issue of A FONDO, he states that he considers himself "a man who lives life with good humor."
