Shanklin Village walk to Ventnor Beach on the Isle of Wight

This was a lovely walk from Luccombe Road just up from Shanklin Old Village through Luccombe Village across the fields that is now officially the Coastal Route after the major landslip happened a couple of years ago. It then goes up many steps to Leeson Road for a while before descending the very steep Chimney Staircase to Bonchurch Shute, we then continue along to St Boniface Church and East Dene before going down further to the seawall that continues flat for a couple of kilometres into Ventnor Bay. The final piece of filming was captured on a Insta360 x4 of the Ventnor Seafront, Rotunda Bandstand, beach and the colourful huts. The Backpack Clip mount I mentioned is from the Insta360 website and cost me £19.99 It's really well made and fully adjustable with a ball mount, it fits straps up to 7cms wide, I bought it to mount my Insta360 x4 but it works well with my old GoPro Hero as well. This was filmed on 25th September 2025, the walk was exactly 4 Miles long with 218 metres of ascent and took 2 hours and 18 Minutes.
