Arup Lecture: Shaping a better world
“A better world is ours to imagine and to create.” This was the message Dame Jo da Silva, our Global Director for Sustainable Development, delivered to an audience of our clients and the public in her recent Arup Lecture “Shaping a better world” at Edinburgh Science Festival. Using the festival’s theme “Spaceship Earth”, where the world is our ship and all of us its crew, Jo speaks about the complex challenges we face collectively to ensure the survival of humankind and our one and only home. Sustainable development, radical collaboration and collective action to recovery, resilience and regeneration all play a critical role. Together WE CAN shape a better world.
