Travel Medicine & Approach to Fever in Returning Traveler with Dr. Joseph Ciano

Dr. Joseph (Joey) Ciano is an emergency medicine attending physician from New York, USA, with an interest in education and training in LMICs (low and middle income countries). He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at NYP-Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, NY and a fellowship in Global Emergency Medicine at LIJ-Medical Center in Queens, NY. After fellowship, he worked clinically in NY, as well as in rural Montana at Crow/Northern Cheyenne Hospital through Indian Health Services (IHS). He currently works clinically at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and as a Clinical Assistant Professor at The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He also works as a visiting faculty member and the associate course director of the Masters in Emergency Medicine (MEM) Certificate Program at The Mission Hospital in Durgapur, India, a 3-year physician training program in Emergency Medicine.
