Lesbians are not to blame for biphobia. But there IS a lot of biphobia in the lesbian community that we need to talk about. Recently, the Queer Collective podcast out of Canada asserted that biphobia was "created" in the lesbian community, and we're here to put that theory to bed. Lez 4 Lez (les for les?) is a valid form of expression, and we are NOT here to take that away from anyone. And yes, there are some women who are not romantically interested in other women but who ARE sexually attracted to women who claim to be lesbians, mainly to impress men, and that's a problem that needs to be worked out as well. But generally... why are we fighting? Why are we doing exactly what cointelpro and the government WANT us to do and infighting so that we can't COME TOGETHER to fight the real evil that plagues us all?? In this episode, we explore the idea that lesbians are somehow the creators of this idea, that men have nothing to do with this (when they are, in fact, the problem), that lesbians can do no wrong, the crossover between biphobia and transphobia, the similarities in certain forms of infighting rhetoric, and a personal story of a really weird biphobic lesbian who assaulted a bisexual friend of ours.
