Background music: • Video Family channels: Palominha: / palominha Simplesmente Edilene: / @lardaedilene1984 RIBEIRO: / @ribeiro4177 Youngest daughter of the couple from Espírito Santo, Jairo Leão, a lawyer, and Altina Lofego, a teacher. On her father's side, she was descended from Portuguese people from the Azores, and on her mother's side, she was descended from Italian immigrants from the village of Castelluccio Superiore, in the Basilicata region, who immigrated to Espírito Santo in the 19th century (the D'Amico and Lofiego families). Nara was born in Vitória and moved to Rio de Janeiro when she was just one year old, with her parents and sister, the journalist Danuza Leão. During her childhood, Nara took guitar lessons with Solon Ayala and Patrício Teixeira, a former member of Pixinguinha's group Os Oito Batutas. At age 14, in 1956, she decided to study guitar at the academy of Carlos Lyra and Roberto Menescal, which operated in a one-bedroom apartment on Rua Sá Ferreira, in Copacabana. At age 18, Nara became a teacher at the academy. From childhood she was interested in music, and spent her entire adolescence involved with music: she would meet with friends on the beach or at home, play guitar and write lyrics. In 1957, she had her first boyfriend, Roberto Menescal, a friend from her school days who frequented her house for musical gatherings. The relationship ended amicably in 1958. Even so, Nara became depressed and contracted hepatitis from contaminated water. After a long time away from classes, she decided to drop out of school in her second year of high school to dedicate herself solely to studying music. In that same year, 1958, she got her first job: as a secretary for the "Tabloide UH," a utility section run by Alberto Dines in the newspaper Última Hora, whose owner was Samuel Wainer, husband of Danuza Leão and brother-in-law of Nara. In less than a year, the young Nara was promoted to reporter for the tabloid. While still working as a secretary, Nara met Ronaldo Bôscoli, an editor, despite being involved with music, which brought the two closer. He began to frequent Nara's house during musical gatherings. In 1959, Nara and Bôscoli began dating. During this period, Nara began to stand out as a singer. The relationship with Bôscoli ended in 1960 when he cheated on her with the singer Maysa during a tour in Buenos Aires. The young woman broke off the relationship with Bôscoli, not even remaining friends. #cemetery #tomb #naraleao
