［パリは燃えているか］ 映像が発明されて100年を記念し、世界中に残された貴重なフィルムを集めて、20世紀の歴史を振り返るという番組「映像の世紀」が1995年に放送され、その音楽を私が担当しました。テーマ曲「パリは燃えているか」は、その後もシリーズ化された番組のテーマ曲として、現在放送中（2026年）の「映像の世紀バタフライエフェクト」でも流れ続けています。 曲名は、第２次世界大戦時のナチス・ドイツが、パリを破壊しようとした作戦に由来しています。しかしパリの運命は消されることなく現在、私達の前に残されているのです。 ------------------------------------- [Is Paris Burning] In 1995, a program titled *The Century of Images *was broadcast to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the invention of motion pictures; it gathered precious film footage preserved around the world to look back on the history of the 20th century, and I was responsible for its music. The theme music, "Is Paris Burning", has continued to serve as the theme for the series ever since, and is still being played in the current installment, *The Century of Images: Butterfly Effect *(airing in 2026). The title of the music derives from a Nazi German operation during World War II that sought to destroy Paris.
