As oil spill reaches Gibraltar’s coastline, divers explore where leak is coming from
As the operation to pump fuel oil out of the OS 35 continues, some of the heavy fuel oil that leaked from the beached bulk carrier on the east side yesterday has now made its way over to beaches on the West side, spreading across the coastline - namely at Little Bay, Camp Bay and Rosia Bay. The operation to remove all non-essential diesel oil from the ship was successfully completed this afternoon. Our reporter Jonathan Scott and cameraman Donovan Torres went out with HM Customs to survey the stranded vessel and first our coastline.
