PKA KITE BUGGY NATIONAL ROUND 3 at Brean! First Official Race Meet + Earning Our Race Licenses

After months of training with SWATK at Brean, the Kempsey Kite Club crew finally stepped up to the big stage. With the theory exam passed, it was time for the real deal: PKA National Series 2025/26 – Open Class Round 3 at Brean Beach, Somerset. Myself, Jimmy, Stuart, Tom and Mirek made up the Open Class grid alongside the seasoned pros in the Master Class. This wasn’t just racing — it was the final step to earning our official PKA Race Licenses. Brean Beach delivered in style: one of the longest stretches of sand in Europe, incredibly flat and firm when the tide is right, and famous for its massive tidal range and epic racing conditions. The wind was banging, the weather was awesome, and the racing got faster and more intense with every heat. I captured the highs, the lows, the close battles and the pure adrenaline using my onboard Insta360 X4.
