231 LA RONCASTALDA Suonatori Valle del Savena a Cà dei Brescandoli

SVS dances on the street in Cà dei Brescandoli for the 2015 edition of the festival "Borghi in festa"! A warm night of party in midsummer to dance, remembering Cornelio Santi and Ivo Berti. The music of the video is "La Roncastalda", called "La Runcastélda" in the Bolognese dialect. It's an ancient dance of autonomous type, originally from Roncastaldo town (Loiano, Bologna) in the Val di Savena. The dance consists by two alternating choreutic parts: the fun (the walk) and the ballet. The final part is the Tresca. The Tresca is a dance of the Apennine tradition, in particular of the Bolognese, in which it also appears as a figuration in other dances and in different variations for single couple or for several couples. In the "Trescone" variant it is used as a single dance, and is also present in the Tuscan tradition, in others as a second dance in suite after other dances; and is sporadically attested also in other central and southern Apennine traditions. ▶ Subscribe to the channel and click on the bell 🔔 IVO BERTI and CORNELIO SANTI Ivo Berti arrived in Belgium from Piamaggio (Monghidoro) at the age of 14 with the famous leaded trains.
