Canning Bourbon Chicken ! Meals In A Jar !

Today I’m Pressure Canning Bourbon Chicken ! And yes this does contain bourbon , it can be omitted and I have made it that way but it does add a great layer of flavor with the bourbon . This recipe is one of my favorites and can be served over rice or stir fried into some veg and rice , or any way you’d like ! This recipe is for approximately 3 to 4 pounds of chicken , I tripled it in my video 1 c chicken broth 1/2 c apple juice 2/3 c low sodium or regular soy sauce 1/4 c bourbon 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar 1/3 c ketchup , I used chili sauce 1/3 c brown sugar 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tsp onion powder 3/4 tsp ginger powder 1 tsp pepper flakes Fill jars to 1 1/4 inch headspace , process pints 75 and quarts for 90 minutes,,,,,, I used pint and half jars , these will process at quart jar times of 90 minutes Check you area for altitude and pressure When opening your jar and reheating , thicken your sauce at this time with a thickener of your choosing and enjoy !
