Vintage Cathie Bella and Tressy doll from France Introducing this large 44cm doll

While in France I have loved learning about the history of French fashion dolls that has mirrored France's very proud history of fashion in general. This country has not only brought haute couture to the world through their fashion shows and celebrity designers, but has been a leader in dolls since as early as the 1900s. Among the famous doll brands is the Bella company, best known for creating their own representation of the Tressy doll, which they licensed from the American Character company, but also for establishing their own original character in the large 44cm Cathie doll, who was produced for around 20 years and captured the hearts of children and adults alike, by creating miniature representations of modern and trendy fashions. Cathie had several changes throughout her life and remains a beautiful doll with the advantage of being relatively easy to find for such a beautiful vintage creation (at least in France).
