Una salita autunnale al Pizzo del Sole

Pizzo del Sole is a mountain overlooking the Ventina Valley. We reached it from Alpe Casaccia, a village on the road to the Lukmanier Pass, via a 21km loop with over 1,000 meters of elevation gain. Thanks to its isolated location in the heart of the Swiss Alps, from the summit of Pizzo del Sole you can admire several important peaks: Pizzo Tencia, Basodino, Galenstock, and above all, Finsteraarhorn, one of the most spectacular 4,000-meter peaks in the Alps. Having climbed in October, we were able to enjoy the spectacle of the colorful larch treetops and the dustings of snow that only remain on the north faces of the mountains. The contrast of colors this season is one of the most beautiful things you can see in the mountains all year.
