SPATZ – Screwdriving robot of the future

The SPATZ (STÖGER Pick&Place Screwdriving Robot with Automatic Tool Change and Feeding Unit for Fasteners) is a worldwide innovation in the screwdriving technology segment. The modular design allows the use of different screwdriving tools, whereby the tool change takes place automatically. In addition, other tools such as grippers or suction cups can be used with the same drive. This means that not only can different fastening elements such as screws, nuts, pins and many more be fastened with one system, but also pre- and subsequent tasks such as assembly, deburring or labelling can be carried out with the same system. Developers and designers thus have almost unlimited possibilities to design the system layout much more flexibly: in a smaller space, with fewer systems and more cost-effectively.
