Visito la casa MAS LUJOSA de Cuba: Mansión Villa Teresa de La Víbora ¿Adivina quién es el dueño?
MILLIONAIRE PROPERTIES IN CUBA: La Loma del Mazo: its name comes from the fact that grass was cut there and bundled into haystacks to feed horses. La Víbora gained importance due to the names of three prominent families who owned the three estates that comprised the area: the Párraga, Mendoza, and Abreu families. It was then that wealthy families from the city began to migrate to the area to build their grand mansions and country estates, endowing the neighborhood with immeasurable architectural richness. The La Víbora neighborhood was built almost in the city center and on one of the capital's most significant geographical features, Loma del Mazo, also known as La Víbora Hill, which, at 76.5 meters high, is the highest point above sea level within Havana's urban area. Loma del Mazo also has a river, called the Vivanco, currently underground. It originates on the northwest slope, approximately where Figueroa and Patrocinio streets are today, flows down the entire hill (beneath Figueroa Street), and then, at what are now Figueroa and Santa Catalina streets, crosses the farm that bears its name. 🔴VILLA TERESA: This hotel is currently housed in one of Havana's most luxurious residences, located atop Loma del Mazo, the highest point in Havana's urban area. It boasts a spectacular viewpoint with panoramic views of the city extending over 20 km, allowing visitors to appreciate the Cuban capital in all its splendor. Its history dates back to one of Havana's most celebrated families between the 19th and 20th centuries, the Calvo family. The famously wealthy Calvo bequeathed a quarter of his estate to Manuel Otaduy, a condition that was not fulfilled. However, Mr. Otaduy received a sufficient sum to build this palace as his residence for several years, until he sold it to the owner of the famous Ingelmo shoe factory. Ingelmo lived there until 1959, when the family left the country. From then on, the palace passed through the hands of various owners who allowed it to deteriorate into ruins. In 2014, its current owners acquired it and undertook a meticulous restoration, importing materials, hardware, and furniture from Italy to replace those in the mansion's badly damaged bathrooms. Their aim was to restore the palace to its original appearance and the same grandeur it had enjoyed in its golden years. 🏘️ Villa Teresa has a story, and you can be a part of it.
