Dian’s Daily Life in China | Super Low-Cost Snacks + My Perfect $0.4 Steamed Egg Dinner

Today I stopped by an affordable store and picked up a huge bag of snacks. After shopping, I made a cozy homemade dinner featuring ultra-smooth steamed egg custard! I timed the steaming carefully: steam the eggs for 12 minutes once the water boils, then leave them covered to rest for 3 extra minutes. I set my timer for 18 minutes total to account for the time it takes the water to reach a boil. When I lifted the lid, the steamed egg turned out flawless with a soft, pudding-like texture. I seasoned it with white vinegar, light soy sauce, and sesame oil to boost the flavor. I served it with warm cooked rice topped with black and white sesame seeds, plus a small side of pickled vegetables. I sipped cool green tea to quench my thirst while eating. This simple combination tasted absolutely incredible. I enjoyed my meal while watching videos, and this easy, comforting home dinner paired perfectly with my new cheap store snacks. Thanks so much for watching! I’ll see you all in my next vlog.
