Stirwen, le royaume d'Alain Barrière | Archive INA

Subscribe http://bit.ly/inachansons December 23, 1977 Alain Barrière presents the Stirwen, a meeting place that is simultaneously a theater, bar, nightclub, and restaurant, which he created and had built. It features contemporary architecture incorporating old stone. He considers it his "castle from the Arabian Nights." Perhaps it is there that the singer's real-life experience is anchored. He has always been very proud to be Breton, but he was disappointed by the reactions of some Bretons to the Stirwen. Alain Barrière also reflects on his singing career, mentioning songs from his early days ("Ma Vie," "Elle était si jolie," etc.). He defines himself as a French singer (he doesn't speak Breton), but he admires Alan Stivell.
