In 1900, International Time Recording (ITR) was offering the world's first time recorders to businesses in the USA and Europe. As the Industrial Age hit high gear, ITR provided the best time keeping, synchronization and control systems on the planet. ITR, which became IBM in 1924, produced Master Clocks at the center of the systems, providing an accurate and reliable heartbeat for the growing industrial economies. Workers, managers and board members knew that confidence in time keeping was critical to labor management and payment. And, the IBM Weight Driven Master Clock was the top of everyone's list. IBM built it's research, development, sales and management on the foundation provided by International Time Recording's clocks and organization. Today's computer age is largely built on that foundation as well. So, while the IBM clock systems allowed businesses to run effectively, ITR, also contributed the values, products, sales & service which led industry and the world into the Computer Age.
