Quick and Easy Way to Propagate Christmas or Thanksgiving Cactus (Zygocactus) Cuttings
Christmas & Thanksgiving cacti clippings should have at least 3 sections on them for the best growth. Allow the clippings to heal over for a day or two prior to planting, or insert them directly into dry soil with good draining capabilities, such as a sand or perlite mix. If your clippings have healed over for a couple of days, add a bit of water to the soil and keep it moist, but not soggy. Roots should begin to appear within a few weeks. These type of cacti enjoy bright, indirect sunlight and environments with higher humidity. If you live in a dry climate like I do, you can spritz your cactus with water daily.
