P&O IONA Norwegian Fjords Cruise | Stavanger, Alesund Aksla Viewpoint, Beach House & Theatre Review

Part 2 of our Iona Norwegian Fjords cruise sees us stopping in our first port, Stavanger. Unfortunately the weather gods weren’t on our side so we couldn’t do any excursions but we enjoyed a wander around the pretty streets. Back on board Iona we took advantage of one of the outdoor whirlpools on promenade deck and enjoyed a cocktail in the Crows Nest for the Stavanger sail away. Ålesund was our second stop and again the weather was abysmal. We still managed to hike up to Aksla viewpoint and despite getting wet and very windswept we were rewarded with fantastic views of the town. We had one of our favourite meals on Iona at The Beach House (if you’re a steak lover you should definitely treat yourself to the lava salt steak). It was DELICIOUS!
