In this Albania travel vlog, I explore Himare on the Albanian Riviera near Vlore with one mission: find a Greek restaurant by the sea and see if the food is worth it. Himare has clear water, mountain views, and Albanian and Greek culture side by side. Here you can eat Albanian food one day, then Greek salad, gyros, pita, and tzatziki the next. I start walking near the beach, looking for a Greek restaurant I had heard about. After asking around, I finally find it close to the sea. The staff are friendly, the location is relaxed, and the whole place has that Mediterranean feeling Albanians abroad, digital nomads, remote workers, and travelers dream about. I order a Greek salad and a gyros plate. First comes the salad, and honestly… wow. The vegetables taste fresh, the feta melts in the mouth, and the homemade pita is soft, warm, simple, and addictive. Then the gyros arrives with meat, pita and tzatziki. I try the meat and I am genuinely mind blown. It is flavorful, well seasoned, juicy, and the tzatziki is exactly what you want by the sea. At moments it feels like being in Greece, but with the beauty of the Albanian Riviera around you. The full meal costs around $21, and before I leave, the waiter brings a complimentary sweet. For the taste, hospitality, and seaside atmosphere, this becomes one of my favorite moments in Himare.
