Stiffing an Employee | The People's Court

The plaintiff says he worked at the defendant’s organization but was underpaid, or in some cases not paid at all, for his work. He is suing for lost wages. The defendant says she runs a nonprofit organization in her community and was doing the plaintiff a favor by giving him a place to go every day as a volunteer worker. She also says the plaintiff took money from the cash box that was meant for breakfast food for the nonprofit.
