🔴 LIVE : LA PROMESSE À CELUI QUI VAINCRA Apocalypse 3:5 - L'Église de Sarde

TITLE: THE PROMISE TO THE OVERCOMER Basic Text: Revelation 3:1-6 Key Verse: Revelation 3:5 Church: Sardis - The Living Dead Church INTRODUCTION: AWAKENING SOUNDS IN SARDIS Revelation 3:1: "I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead." Sardis was a rich city, an impregnable fortress. But it was taken twice... while the soldiers slept! Jesus said to the church: "You have a reputation of being alive, but before Me you are dead." Question for Lubumbashi today: How many churches have beautiful buildings, titles... but the Holy Spirit is gone? Today God tells us: WAKE UP! I. THE PROBLEM OF SARDIS: SPIRITUAL DEATH - V.2 "Be watchful, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God." 3 symptoms of the death of Sardis: 1. She was living on her past reputation - You cannot live on your testimony from 2015. God is asking you, "Where do you stand WITH ME TODAY?" 2. She had incomplete works - They started but did not finish. God wants perseverance! 3. She was defiled by the world (v.4) - But praise God, there were "a few who did not soil their garments." There is always a faithful remnant! Jesus' command v.3: 1. Remember how you received the Gospel 2. Keep the Word 3. Repent 4. Stay awake, for I will come like a thief II. THE SOLUTION: BECOMING THE ONE WHO WILL OVERCOME Who is "the one who will overcome"? It is not the strongest. It is the one who refuses to sleep when others sleep! 3 battles to overcome: 1. Overcoming hypocrisy - 2 Timothy 3:5: "having a form of godliness, but denying its power." 2. Overcoming sleep - Romans 13:11: "It is high time for you to wake up from your slumber." 3. Overcoming defilement - James 1:27: "keeping yourselves unstained by the world." III. THE 3 PROMISES FOR THE OVERCOMER - V.5 1. "HE WILL BE CLOTHED IN WHITE GARMENTS" White represents purity, victory, and the righteousness of Christ! Revelation 19:8 Illustration: Joseph in prison. He was a slave, but before God he wore the white garment of purity. And God raised him to Prime Minister! Prophecy: No matter how low your life may be, if you overcome, God will clothe you in glory! 2. "I WILL NEVER BLASH HIS NAME OUT OF THE BOOK OF LIFE" What security! In heaven there is a Book. The Lamb's Book of Life. The devil can steal your health, your money... but he can NEVER erase your name from this Book if you persevere! Luke 10:20: "Rejoice that your names are written in heaven." 3. "I WILL CONFESS HIS NAME BEFORE MY FATHER AND BEFORE HIS ANGELS" THIS IS THE GREATEST PROMISE! Imagine... Judgment Day. God the Father is on the throne. JESUS STANDS UP. He points at you and says, "Father, I present to You John from Lubumbashi. He confessed me on earth. FATHER, HE IS MY BROTHER. HIS NAME IS MINE!" If you confess Him on earth, He will confess you in heaven! Luke 12:8 CONCLUSION - THE CALL OF SARDINS FOR LUBUMBASHI V.6: "He who has ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." Church of Lubumbashi: 1. Don't be Sardinians! Don't be satisfied with reputation. Seek PRESENCE. 2. Wake up! If you are spiritually asleep, the devil will take you by surprise. 3. Overcome! Salvation is free, but the crown is for the overcomers. CALLING: Who wants to wake up from spiritual sleep? Who wants their name to remain forever in the Book of Life? Who wants to hear Jesus speak their name before the Father? Arise, you who overcome! FINAL PRAYER: "Lord Jesus, forgive us for being like Sardis. Awaken Your Church in Lubumbashi. Give us the strength to overcome sin, the world, and sleep. Clothe us in white garments. Keep our names in Your Book. And one day, confess our names before the Father. We want to be overcomers. In Jesus' name, Amen!"
