What a blast to join JetBlue for the carrier's first flight from Boston, MA to Presque Isle, ME. JetBlue's service provides nonstop access to/from Boston and beyond, restoring a route that was last operated by Penair until 2018. JetBlue is taking over the Essential Air Service contract from United Airlines and their regional partner GoJet, who succeeded Penair and began operating EWR-PQI in 2018. The Essential Air Service program subsidizes air service, incentivizing commercial airlines to provide remote communities with air service to larger metros and beyond.
