Sailing Solo from Panama to Jamaica
Sailing from Bocas del Toro, Panama, to Port Antonio, Jamaica, in November 2021 aboard Windflower, my 1972 Cartwright 40 cutter, alone as always. My route was along the coast of Panama, then across to Colombia (but not stopping there) and then turning north toward Jamaica. The idea was to get as far east as possible before getting into the easterly trade-winds. Even so, I was on a close reach or beating all the way across the Caribbean Sea.
