Don Blakeslee of the 4th Fighter Group would personify the fighting spirit of the American pilots that travels to Britain before America's entry into World War 2. Flying with the Eagle Squadrons, Don Blakeslee would be the first pilot of the 8th United States Army Air Force to score a kill in a P47 Thunderbolt. He would do this will flying as part of Rodeo 204 on the 15th April 1943.
