Das Elsass: Essen wie Gott in Frankreich | ARD Reisen
Alsace is one of the most diverse regions in France. On this culinary journey, viewers get to know the delicacies of the region and the people who prepare them with love. Farmer Mathieu Deybach and his family run a mountain farm in the high Vosges mountains. All the specialities served up here are made by the family themselves - from blueberry cake to Munster cheese. Where the German-French border runs is where Jeremy Fuchs works. He is the last professional fisherman on the Rhine and wants to make freshwater fish more popular again. Top Alsatian cuisine meets Scandinavian hygge at the Landschaftshotel 48 Grad. Chef Fréderic Metzger conjures up haute cuisine here - using local ingredients that have all been produced no more than 50 kilometres from the hotel. The documentary shows the picturesque landscape of Alsace through the seasons and presents special local specialities.
