226's first startup - 9th July 2016
This is C Class loco No. 226's first startup from last Saturday (9th July). The sound isn't quite what some of you were expecting, in fact the loco sounds a bit like a steam engine, but that's because one of the cylinders wasn't firing. Otherwise the engine ran well, with no nasty problems. There's plenty more work to do: see to that reluctant cylinder, the air system, and some work on the governor, not to mention a tonne of bodywork.
