Love That Lasts Through the Fire | John 13:31–38

How do you love when you've been betrayed? In John 13:31–38, Judas has already left to betray Jesus, yet Jesus doesn't dwell on betrayal. Instead, He speaks about His coming glory and leaves His disciples with one final command: "Love one another, just as I have loved you." Jesus also reveals that Peter, who confidently promised to die for Him, would deny Him three times before morning. Peter trusted his own strength, but Jesus already knew the future. This passage reminds us that love is not proven when life is easy. Love is tested in seasons of disappointment, suffering, failure, and uncertainty.
