Christine Silawan was 16 years old when she left Sacred Heart Parish in Barangay Pajac, Cebu, on the evening of 10 March 2019 to meet someone she had only known online — and never came home. The person behind the account was not who he had claimed to be. What followed was a case that collapsed into a three-agency turf war, competing suspects, and contradictory forensic findings — and no one was ever convicted.
