Sosyalizmi'nin Çöküşü ve Çavuşesku'nun Sonu - Bükreş | Romanya

Hello, As you remember from my previous video, I told you about Nicolay Ceausescu. Today, I'm here with a video that will tell you about the sad end of Ceausescu, which everyone who lived his childhood in the 90s knows very well. Of course, the Communism regime ended with Ceausescu in the country. This story is as dramatic as it is the first live recorded regime change in the world. First of all, we start our video with Bucharest Orion square. There is a statue of the Great Commander Gazi Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK here. They made a very beautiful bust in a very central place. It is surrounded by violets. I wanted to make you a partner in my visit to our great leader. The place where the Romanian Revolution started is about 150 meters away from Orion Square. After the speech he gave in that famous rally square, the collapse that came with the rally begins. He is booed for the first time during the conversation. The riots that started in Timisoara on December 21, 1989 spread to the capital. People gather in this square. Ceausescu is giving his last speech in this square. The rebellion begins for the first time against Ceausescu, who gathered thousands of people approved by everyone. He is shocked by the reaction that Ceausescu is not used to. And it can silence the public for a while. But when it continues, the boos escape by helicopter. And soldiers are coming down the street. The first clashes with the people begin. The interesting thing is they use Speakers. They are trying to scare and suppress the civilian population by using tanks and gunfire from loudspeakers. Ceausescu, who thinks he has escaped by helicopter, is betrayed and his most trusted close staff takes him to Targovishte. Targovishte is the former capital of Wallachia Valahya. He's in prison there. Nicola Ceausescu and Elena, who were accused of treason against the people in his trial, which lasted for 1 hour and 20 minutes, were executed on the spot. This goes down in history as the first revolution to be broadcast live on television. Also, as a note, we see the Princess Casino, which is the most valuable building in the square, which is the turning point of Romania, which belongs to the Turks.
