My son is a young man (37 years old/2025) with a disability certificate (Type B) and autism with intellectual disability. He was diagnosed with autism at age 5. A developmental assessment by a psychiatrist at age 20 indicated his developmental age was around 10. While there were limits to his language comprehension despite repeated teaching, he has still grown in a positive way and has been working as a full-time employee at a local company for 18 years. For nine years, starting from when my son was in first grade of elementary school, I received mother education at the Tomoni Developmental Support Center while engaging in developmental support. I will share the home-based therapy I've undertaken, envisioning the kind of adult I want my son to become and setting goals for his future.
