Russia - the last bastion of conservative values?

Russian propaganda shows alleged Russian family values. Vladimir Putin says traditional values in Russia are important, with the traditional model of the family and religion important in Russia. The Russian Orthodox Church plays such an important role that it is sometimes called a branch of the Russian government. But is Russia more morally pure than the so-called "morally corrupt West" or the "morally corrupt European Union? In this film we look at official statistics on church attendance in Russia, the divorce rate in Russia, drug abuse rates in Russia, the abortion rate in Russia. We also ask whether the head of the Russian state and the head of the Russian Orthodox Church are guided by Christian values. Is Russia a conservative paradise?
