In this video, we talk about a very simple way to relieve neck and shoulder tension: cervical decompression with a blanket. Sometimes we practice yoga, but we still end up with a stiff neck, rounded shoulders, tension in the trapezius and scalene muscles, and that feeling of pressure or stiffness in the neck. That's why today I want to share a very simple, gentle, and rewarding pose that you can do in Savasana (Mountain Pose) with a rolled-up blanket. The idea is not to force or stretch aggressively, but to apply light pressure in the right direction and allow time for the tissue to gradually release. We'll see: Why the neck gets so tense. What role the trapezius and scalene muscles play. What it means to decompress the cervical spine. How it can help reclaim space and improve the natural curve of the neck. How to do this pose step by step with a blanket. You can practice it on its own, at the end of your practice, or after working on your shoulder girdle.
