What I learned from the tribals of Ziro | Himani Chaukar | TEDxPICT

Are tribals really "backwards"? Himani Chaukar takes us through her journey in Ziro and shows us what makes tribal culture special and important to the outside world. Himani Chaukar is an enthusiastic teacher of Philosophy at Ruia College, Mumbai. She is a recipient of Asiatic Society’s research fellowship for a social sciences and the best research project award in the state level inter-university research convention ‘Avishkar’ She has been studying and researching on the subject of tribal studies focusing on the tribes of Arunachal Pradesh and is well versed with the intricate details of their lifestyles! At TEDxPICT, she will share some interesting experiences and aspects of her 5 -year long study of living with these tribes.
