Tire Distribution / Tracking and Tracing The importance of being able to completely trace all tires continues to increase. Using the tire sorter from TRANSNORM, Pirelli has closed an important loophole in this area and is the first company to install a globally harmonised form of identification with a central database and uniform bar codes. TRANSNORM was commissioned to design and build all the technology required for a complete conveyor and sorting system in a distribution centre. In addition to the system hardware itself, the contract also included the engineering and programming of the material flow computer as well as the seamless integration of scanner stations.
