柔拳羅漢十三式 Shaolin Soft Fist 13 Louhan Rou Quan by Shaolin Master Shi Heng Yi+ Disciple Shi Xiao Long
Shaolin 13 Luohan 13 Rou Quan uses the same concepts as the Daoist 13 Gong Rou Shou in the execution of its 13 jings. Each movement has 4 stages: Rise, Support, Close, and Open. Shaolin 13 Luohans Rou Quan has many hidden combat techniques including: pushing, pulling, wrapping, bumping, sweeping, locking, knocking down, and throwing, which outnumber any striking and kicking techniques. The techniques are combinations of Taiji Quan, Xing Yi, and Bagua Zhang. Explicit silk reeling and bursts of power are manifested in the Shaolin 13 Luohan Rou Quan with smooth flowing movements punctuated by explosive strikes. With daily practice, I learn how to work with incoming energy so that it will be trapped and captured by creating a flow of energy to follow the turning of the body: the body yields, redirects, neutralizes, absorbs, transfers, and then releases the now multiplied energy. I also learn the ability to stick, adhere, continue, and follow as in Thai Cuc Quyen. Joint locking and leverage techniques Chin Na are hidden within the movements as well. The movements revolve around the use of the eight gates of Taijiquan to manifest expansive or contracting power through the physical postures. Shaolin 13 Luohan Rou Quan uses the 13 skills of the five elements' stepping patterns and 8 gates directions. The 13 movements allow me to fluidly change direction at any point without hesitation, as I move circularly along a straight line or straight along a circular curve; I can fluidly change self defense angles into offensive moves. Shaolin 13 Luohans Rou Quan emphasizes moving from my central channel while walking. Both Daoist and Luohan 13 Gong consists of: 8 gates of Ba Gua, 4 Primary Hands of Warding Off, Rolling Back, Pressing+Pushing, 4 straight directions, 4 Corner Hands of Pulling Down, Splitting , Elbowing and Shouldering. 4 diagonal directions of Qian, Kun, Gen, and Xun. 5 elements in stepping forward, backward, to the left – sideways forward, to the right – sideways backward, and staying in 1 place. Shaolin Arhat Soft Fist is a finite series of the following sequences of movements: 1. Old Man Splits Wood=Lao Seng Pi Chai 2. Luohan Drapes Coat=Luo Han Pi Yi 3. Lazy Monks Lies on Pillow=Lan Seng Wo Zhen 4. Double Hands Push Mountain= Shuang Shou Tui Shan 5. Winds Swings the Lotus Leaves=Feng Bai He Ye 6. Luohan Flag Grasp=Luohan Qi Ba 7.
