Gatwick Express Class 442 Farewell Railtour - 12th March 2017

Welcome to My Channel South Coast Trainspotter. Today's Video: Gatwick Express Class 442 Farewell Railtour. On 12th March 2017 Branch Line Society Ran a Railtour with 2 Class 442 EMU's 442402 & 442408 which were two of six Class 442's left running on the Mainline. There were 24 Class 442 Units Numbered from 442401-442424 and originally ran with Network Southeast and South West Trains before moving to Gatwick Express in 2005. The Class 442's were known for running services down the Brighton Mainline between Brighton-Gatwick-London Express Services and now have been Replaced by the New Class 387/2 Electrostars. The Class 442's have been running on the Brighton Mainline for 8 Years. Also on this Day Southern Arranged to Run their Class 73 Locomotive 73202 and Use it with the Class 442's to make this a very special and Rare Occasion.
