The curse of sin that came because of Adam is threefold: 1. spiritual death, 2. sickness and disease, 3. material poverty. These were brought in so that we would die. This is outlined in Genesis 3 and Deuteronomy 28. Christ has redeemed us from the curse (Galatians 3:13).
