How To UnYellow And Restore Air Jordan 11 Soles

Welcome back to another episode of Shoe Care Academy! This week Jonny Bubbles is back to show you how to use one of RESHOEVN8R’S most beloved products - Sole Revive! Bubbles picked up a pair of ‘Derek Jeter’ Jordan 11 Lows from eBay, and the outsoles on these things were flat out disrespectful - so yellow we were afraid that even our Sole Revive might strike out. Before getting started on the outsoles, Jonny gave the uppers a dry pass using our medium bristle brush. The suede was already pretty damaged, likely from improper cleaning techniques, but this helped get rid of the dust and dirt that coated the midnight navy suede on the uppers. Before Bubbles could apply the magical sauce, it was extremely important to clean the outsoles. Applying Sole Revive to a dirty shoe will not work! Using some water, solution, and the stiff bristle brush from our Signature Kit, Jonny did his thing and got those soles bubbly. This video will also teach you exactly why it’s important to keep the dark colored suede on your kicks dry (unless they are VERY dirty). While Jonny was filming the video, he left the shoe sitting upside down for too long, allowing the water and solution to run down into the suede. As you saw in the video, this led to color bleeding. Luckily it’s not a new pair! Once the outsole had been dry, Jonny applied a thin but even layer of Sole Revive across the yellowed outsoles. As Bubbles mentioned, it’s important that you do NOT get Sole Revive on the white traction areas of the shoe as this could affect the material and the traction. Before Jonny applied the Shrink Wrap he applied a second coat of Sole Revive. Once the Sole Revive dries up, it’s no longer effective and you will need to apply an additional coat. Into the ‘Vick 2000’, the shoes went - an indoor grow box with three 1,500 watt UV lights and built in fans. After four long days there was a visible difference, but definitely not the result we were looking for. After reapplying additional coats of Sole Revive and three more days in the indoor setup, the soles were back to milky white! RE2PECT! Even though this wasn’t a cleaning video, you know how much crunchy suede bothers Jonny, so before leaving he hit the uppers with a few coats of RESHOEVN8R Mink Oil and brushed it in with a horse hair brush (coming soon).
